Recently, FIFA announced that it will be implementing the use of goal-line technology at the Confederations Cup ahead of it's World Cup debut at Brazil 2014. When asked about the possibility of goal-line technology in MLS, Commissioner Garber said, "[The cost] had us take a step back and pause and try to figure out: Is the value of having goal-line technology worth investing millions and millions and millions of dollars for the handful of moments where it’s relevant? And our view has been that we’re going to wait and see how it works out. We certainly don’t need to be the first league that has it.”
MLS has long been a proponent of the use of technology to enhance the quality of the product on and off the field. So it's no surprise that Garber has put serious thought into the prospect of it's use. For now, supporters of goal-line technology will get their fill through international play, and can be the judge of it's effectiveness during the World Cup in Brazil.

In a recent post on Buzzfeed.com, the publication celebrated the human spirit in the aftermath of the tragedies in Boston and West Texas. The post featured a gallery of images of citizens and law enforcement officers working side-by-side to assit others. It captured the love and support that Americans all over the country displayed for victims, their families, and the cities where these horrific events took place.
One such image was an Instagram photo taken at Sunday's D.C. United match at RFK. The shot featured a pre-game tifo from United Supporters, which read, "STAND STRONG BOSTON + WEST." D.C. United is proud of the support that our fans showed to the cities and victims of last week's events, thank you.
