Habitat for Humanity Maryland build
Last Thursday, United staff and players helped out with a Habitat for Humanity build in Silver Spring, Md. Julius James, Troy Perkins and Conor Shanosky joined a group of staffers to do the insulating at a house in Montgomery County. This was United's third Habitat build this year, following one in Northeast DC on July 13 and in Arlington, Va. on July 17.
If you missed these volunteer opportunities, consider joining Habitat for Humanity on Oct. 4 for World Habitat Day. The United Nations has set aside the first Monday in October to call attention to the dire need for affordable, adequate housing, and Habitat for Humanity will join efforts from all over the world to mark this day.
