‘Win championships. Serve the community.’

The phrase echoes in the halls of RFK Stadium. It’s a motto that stands at the foundation of our club.

Vote for Devon McTavish & D.C. United

As United prepares for the U.S. Open Cup semifinal tomorrow night in hopes of earning a 13th trophy, members of the front office staff gathered at So Others Might Eat in the District today to serve lunch to 520 needy individuals.

The event was associated with the United Builds program, an initiative created to foster volunteerism amongst players, staff members and club supporters. To date this year, United staffers have volunteered more than 400 hours of time.

That total doesn’t include volunteer coaching/clinic events or those who have contributed time and energy to United Soccer Club, an after-school initiative borne at the request of Ward 8 residents. United Soccer Club will launch again in the coming weeks at 12 locations benefiting underserved youth throughout the area.

We can’t always win championships, but United will always serve the community.
