For the many die hard fans of the beautiful game, EA Sports' FIFA series is a staple of daily life. The 2010 version of the famous video game is perhaps the best installment of the franchise, and all of us take pride in our ability to play the game. The players of D.C. United are no different. Members of the Black-and-Red recently played off against one another for the right to take on our fans in the 2010 D.C. United Xbox Challenge presented by Ledo Pizza.

The players that made it from the group stage to the main event are Andy Najar, Bill Hamid, Jordan Graye, and Julius James. The Black-and-Red are taking this event very seriously, as pride and cash prizes are on the line. Said James, "We all love FIFA, and some of us are very good at it - except for Clyde [Simms] and Rodney [Wallace]," said James jokingly. "We are looking forward to playing with our fans and having fun."

The tournament will kickoff at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21 in the Volkswagen Lounge at RFK Stadium. The players would join the action following their morning training session in preparation for Sunday's match against Philadelphia Union. Tournament participants can win up to $1,000 in cash prizes, and each player will get a ticket to the United v Union match on August 22 at 2:00 p.m. Most importantly, one lucky fan will have the chance to say they are better than D.C. United's players at soccer for a day, albeit the video game variety. There are only 64 available slots, so sign up now because spaces are extremely limited!
