Habitat for Humanity build in Northern Virginia

On Saturday, July 17, United staff, players and fans got together for the second of three Habitat for Humanity builds in the metro DC area. This time it was an apartment complex in Arlington, Va, which will house twelve families once completed.
The build was just in the beginning stages, the complex needing to be stripped and walls torn down to widen the existing building. The D.C. United group participated in demolition and building temporary walls to prepare the building for its structural changes. Defender Barry Rice and goalkeeper Andrew Quinn stopped by to lend a hand with the build.
The final Habitat for Humanity build will be in Silver Spring, Maryland in September. Any D.C. United fans who’d like to participate along with players and staff are encouraged to email Aprile Pritchet at apritchet@dcunited.com.
