Najar on ESPN Soccernet front page

17-year-old hailed after scoring first League goal against Chivas USA

Few 17-year-olds ever grace the main page of ESPN Soccernet, but that is exactly what United's Andy Najar has done today. Author Leander Schaerlaeckens chronicles Najar's rise from Academy product to first team regular on today's front page, and the timing could not be better. After scoring his first goal for the club in United's U.S. Open victory over FC Dallas on April 28, Najar just netted his first Major League Soccer goal against Chivas on Saturday in a 3-2 win.

Najar has quickly asserted himself into Curt Onalfo's line-up, and the young Honduran has played all over the pitch this season. To date Najar has played central midfield, right wing, right back, and forward since signing for the senior squad in March. To read the full profile click here
