It has been a busy week around RFK Stadium. In case you missed it, the Black-and-Red dumped FC Dallas out of the U.S. Open Cup last night in a play-in match. United won 4-2, and 17-year-old standout Andy Najar notched his first goal for the club. Salvadoran winger Christian Castillo also got on the scoresheet, and Adam Cristman captured a brace.

Fellow striker Danny Allsopp had the night off, as the athletic target man has been working hard up front for the Black-and-Red as a lone forward over the past two League matches. United welcomes Atlantic Cup rival New York Red Bulls to RFK Stadium on Saturday, and the players are eager with anticipation following last night's victory. Allsopp's enthusiasm isn't limited to Major League Soccer, and with the World Cup on the horizon (only a matter of weeks now!) Allsopp took time to speak with Sports Illustrated ahead of the planet's biggest sporting event.

The Melbourne native has represented his country in international competition, and Danny will be following his compatriots closely when the Socceroos face Germany in Durban, South Africa on June 13. Click here to view the SI feature.
