Jonathan Frias

U-14 Developmental Academy Head Coach

Jonathan Frias began his career with D.C. United in 2011 when he coached at summer camps, which eventually lead to him becoming the Head Coach of the U-14s in 2012. He is the current Head Coach of the U-14 Developmental Academy team and also coaches the U-15 pre-academy team. He has also worked at D.C. United camps, training programs, been a scout for youth talent, and assisted with the U-23 team.

Frias is originally from Miami, Fl. and played in college at Florida International University and Radford University. After college, he played in the USL for the Greenville Lions and Sioux Falls Spitfire, and in the PDL with Northern VA Royals. He has coached at the American Soccer Academy, Virginia Youth Soccer Association, and was the Head Coach for the Virginia State ODP team. Frias holds a USSF A license, a USSF National Youth license, and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Frias lives in Silver Springs, Md. with his girlfriend Robin and their son Sebastian.
