Academy Camps and Training Programs

Training Programs

Development Training Program (DTP)

D.C. United’s Development Training Programs are unique opportunities for youth soccer players, boys aged 8 to 12, to receive supplemental training led by the Academy’s coaching staff. The sessions provide the player a view of the Academy’s training methodology and player development curriculum through various dynamic sessions. The training sessions are similar and designed according to D.C. United’s academy sessions.

DTP provides an environment to learn and enjoy the game with those of similar ages and abilities. Activities are tailored to incorporate technical actions and maximize player repetitions that demand athletic movements both with and without the ball. All sessions will include small games/live play for players to work on topics and build creativity.

3: Team Defending / Roles of 1st and 2nd Defender.
