D.C. United and Audi of America Partner for Sustainability Night at Audi Field on April 27

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 24, 2024) - D.C. United and Audi have partnered for a sustainability-themed match at Audi Field on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. EST when the Black-and-Red face-off against Seattle Sounders FC. In addition to the focus on building a more sustainable future through the thematic match day, D.C. United and Audi will also host several supporting initiatives to promote a sustainable lifestyle and future.

A comprehensive list of the sustainably minded efforts led by D.C. United and Audi tied to this theme match includes:

  • City Blossoms: Audi will be donating $10,000 to City Blossoms which will provide one year of free school garden programming for 200 students.
  • Fan Giveaway, Water Bottles: Upon exit, several thousand water bottles will be distributed to fans at the Audi Field gates.
  • Electric Vehicle Displays: Audi Field is home to three prominent vehicle displays showcasing some of Audiā€™s fully electric fleet. Near the Gate A and C entrances, fans can take a look at the Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, the Audi Q8 e-tron, and RS e-tron GT.

As part of MLS Greener Goals Week, D.C. United and Audi will present City Blossoms, a local nonprofit organization that cultivates the well-being of our communities through creative programming in kid-driven gardens, a $10,000 check at halftime of the match. This donation will provide one year of free school garden programming to 200 students.

Reaching over 6,000 children and youth annually from Black, Latino, and immigrant communities in Washington, DC, City Blossoms is on a mission to build 20 new school and community gardens throughout the district by 2028.
